8 GB of video memory is enough here today, but newer games at 1440p often need lower texture settings on 8 GB cards.
Sources: estimates scale the card's 11-game Ultra average from the Tom's Hardware GPU hierarchy (June 2026, Ryzen 7 9800X3D) by how demanding Forza Horizon 6 is (formula). Measured: TechSpot (Hardware Unboxed), “Forza Horizon 6 Benchmark: 47 GPUs Tested” (May 2026; Extreme preset (everything maxed, ray tracing off), native resolution, no upscaling, built-in benchmark; AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D). about 80 fps (estimate) at 1440p with high or ultra settings and no upscaling. At 1080p it's about 115 fps (estimate); at 4K, about 30 fps (estimate).
The Arc B570 at about $289 today, with about 60 fps (estimate).
The RTX 4080 at about $1249 today, with about 155 fps (estimate).
Turn on DLSS upscaling (Quality first, then Balanced). It is usually the biggest single fps gain for a small loss in sharpness. Drop the preset from Ultra to High. Shadows, volumetric fog and clouds, and ray tracing cost the most and look the least different. Or play at 1440p, where it gets about 80 fps (estimate). Set textures to High or Medium. The game wants about 12 GB of video memory at 4K and this card has 8 GB; running out causes stutter, not just lower fps.
